Vernon Kay
Independent Chair
As the Independent Chair of the Board, Vernon works alongside the Board and Management team of Finzsoft Solutions Limited to further support the strategic objectives of the company.
Vernon was previously the Managing Director of Datacom NZ for 7 years out of his 25 years with them. He has proven experience, having grown Datacom's software, networking and security business in New Zealand.
The shareholders want to move Finzsoft to even greater heights and the appointment of Vernon as the Independent Chair is part of that plan.
Richard Middleton
Director
Richard is the director representing the Police Credit Union, where he has chaired their board since 2010. Richard retired from Police in 2014 following a long career. This was highlighted by his design, building & implementing of a police deployment model designed to prevent and reduce crime, which now forms part of overall police strategy – Prevention First.
Simon Scott
Director
Simon Scott is the General Manager at First Credit Union, being appointed to that position in 2018.
Prior to that Simon served on the First board from 2006, being Chair from 2009 to November 2017.
Simon has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Waikato. He practiced as a barrister and solicitor from 1995 until 2018. From 1999 Simon practiced primarily in the employment jurisdiction and was a Partner at the Hamilton firm Bogers Scott Shortland.
Tim Hurring
Chief Technical Officer
Tim Hurring has been with Finzsoft since 1993 which followed extensive experience gained across the computer industry in New Zealand and the UK. His deep knowledge of the Sovereign software and his adherence to strong design principles makes him an integral part of the Finzsoft team. He is responsible for ensuring we stay abreast of emerging technologies - enabling Sovereign to remain current and competitive.
Helen Hatchard
Chief Executive
Helen has over 20 years’ experience with major banks and the wider finance industry in various leadership roles across retail, private and business banking both within the commercial sector and the Mutuals sector.
Helen is described as a straight forward visionary leader who has strategy development and execution strengths. She builds resilient key holder relationships through influencing internally and externally.
